A proper portrait.

03 / THE HUMAN BEHIND THE NAME
Hi, I’m Justin.
Animal person.
House-trained.
An easy-going, clean-living, animal-loving guy with well-trained values and a slightly quirky sense of humour.
I’m a freelance web and digital content creator, photographer, musician and father. I work quietly from my laptop, which means plenty of company for your pets and a calm presence in your home.
Your privacy is respected, meals happen on time, and your pets get to enjoy their familiar comforts. And don’t worry — my drums don’t come with.
I enjoy the change of scenery, the furry company, and the chance to photograph your animals for the love of it. Let’s have a relaxed meet-and-greet and see if we’re a good fit.

06 / GOOD QUESTIONS
A few things
you might ask.
Why “Rent a Squatter”?
A little humour, a very practical arrangement. You need a dependable person to look after your home and pets. I enjoy a quiet place to work and some furry company. It’s a friendly name for a stay-in house-sitting service.
Do you stay at my home overnight?
Yes. I stay overnight and work from my laptop during the day. Normal short outings for groceries or errands are part of the arrangement; we’ll discuss your pets’ needs and any time-alone limits before confirming a booking.
What does R300 a day include?
Basic overnight house sitting, daytime companionship, feeding, walks, plant watering, mail and bins, daily updates, and a free professional pet photo shoot. Additional services, special care and excess travel are discussed and quoted before booking.
Are the professional photos really free?
Yes — a pet photo shoot is included with every sitting. I photograph your pets when they’re relaxed, edit the best images and send you digital files to keep.
Can I speak to a previous client?
Yes. Ask when you enquire and I’ll arrange an introduction to a previous client who is happy to be contacted.
How does the meet-and-greet work?
We check your dates first, then arrange a relaxed visit at your home. Your pets meet me and we go through feeding, walks, vet contacts and home routines. We confirm the quote and key arrangements before the sitting begins.
What if you’re already booked?
My fiancée and her family are also experienced house and pet sitters. I can discuss an introduction if I’m unavailable; we’ll agree who will be looking after your home before any booking is confirmed.
